I was honored to be included in Colleen Flaherty’s excellent Inside Higher Ed article exploring what shapes student trust in higher education today. The article breaks down new findings from the Student Voice poll, revealing the deep connection between affordability, transparency, and students’ day-to-day experiences. I shared thoughts alongside leaders like Amelia Parnell and Richard Roman, who rightly warned that transparency, if not backed by meaningful action, can actually erode trust. It’s a timely reminder that what matters most to students isn’t just what we say, but what we do in response.
